I recently had the pleasure of presenting work in progress for the UC Irvine Humanities Center as part of a faculty exchange program. I also had a delightful time speaking with Dr. Fujita-Rony's graduate seminar after the talk. What a joy to see so many Asian Americanists in training! Having gone only to East Coast universities with limited Asian American studies offerings, I really couldn't have imagined an institution like UCI with such variety and richness in its program.
