UC Irvine Humanities Center Talk: Story in the Shadow of the Refugee Regime

I recently had the pleasure of presenting work in progress for the UC Irvine Humanities Center as part of a faculty exchange program. My talk, "Story in the Shadow of the Refugee Regime," is now online. Many thanks to Dr. Judy Wu for the invitation, and to Drs. Thuy Vo Dang and Dorothy Fujita-Rony for making and sharing space.

I also had a delightful time speaking with Dr. Fujita-Rony's graduate seminar after the talk. What a joy to see so many Asian Americanists in training! Having gone only to East Coast universities with limited Asian American studies offerings, I really couldn't have imagined an institution like UCI with such variety and richness in its program.
