After five years living and teaching in Pennsylvania at Bucknell University, my family and I are moving west. As of July 2020, I am an assistant professor of literature at the University of California, Merced. It's a dream opportunity to help build a new university that is from its inception diverse, sustainable, and forward-looking. Given the stark challenges our society faces, I'm grateful to be doing work that matches my values and propels me onward as a thinker and teacher. Plus, my family and I are excited to continue our journey through valleys that begin with 'S': Shenandoah, Susquehanna, and next stop, San Joaquin.
